After it was all done, the mud hole was gone and the volunteers celebrated by heading on in the trail.
(NOTE: this is a sink hole, mud pit. There's no place for the dirt that we used to tamp down the rocks and logs to go. It will harden over summer. We are planning a more permanent fix in the Rubicon Strategic Plan.) |
Great before and after shots of the serious mud hole at the base of Walker Hill that was causing erosion and forcing some folks to creat bypasses. FOTR, with the Pirates of the Rubicon at the lead, fixed the problem! it was a team effort and over 40 volunteers put in a good days work. Good job to all.
