WORKDAY: AUG. 7, 2004 CLEANUP OF SPIDER LAKE (Page 2)

Spider Lake, by Jes.....a refelction of our hard work and love of this trail.

(All photos by Jes, the camera guy)

Cleanup crews carried buckets and bags to pick up the human waste left by thoughtless campers.

"Poo Powder" from ThePett system is added to the waste to render the mess a non-biohazard and landfill safe. ThePett powder has enzymes that process the waste. Buy some!

Jack Sweeney, El Dorado County Board of Supervisors (L) helps pack out a home-made porta potty as part of the cleanup of the Spider Lake area. Jack and his family worked all day with the crews.

Large barrels were used to help transport the waste out of the lake area. Kids, Dads and Moms all pitched in to help.

Mark Langford, IC, had the help of the Ventura County Axle Snappers to haul out the bags of waste via utility trailers. Many FOTR clubs jumped in to help.

.The Spider Lake Closure is in affect until November 10, 2004, and signs like this one surround the area. Here the bags of thoughtless campers are ready to be picked up and hauled off.
