Mendocino Coast: The Skunk Train of Ft. Bragg
The Skunk Train is a treat like no other, and if you love history, not to mention great entertainment, go ride the Skunk Train out of Ft. Bragg, CA. You might even get lucky and meet the famous Trainsinger, Greg Schindel, as he strolls around the cars singing old time train songs, strumming his guitar and blowing a harmonica at the same time. What fun it is!
Stacie and I took the half day adventure from Ft. Bragg, half way to Willits, CA, where we had a nice lunch in the redwoods. We rode the open car and had a first hand view of thousand-year-old trees and logging history of the northern CA coast. Get your tickets and ride the skunk train here (be sure to take the kids).
