Mendocino Coast: Lodging, Hotels and Joshua Grindle Inn
Stacie and I have traveled a lot and figured we knew good service, pleasant surroundings and great food. But now we have a new scale for measuring a bed and breakfast -- the Joshua Grindle Inn of Mendocino, CA.
From the fence along the street in Mendocino, the Joshua Grindle Inn beckons the weary traveler -- as well as the vacationing bird watching, ocean lover, kayak adventurer, or explorer of the Mendocino Coast. What a treat this was.

The main house has a marvelous porch where you can sit and enjoy breakfast -- and I mean a tasty delight that includes mushroom crust quiche, or banana french toast, homemade muffins and more. Wow, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and care of preparation with this cuisine. Charles was on cooking duty for our stay and he impressed us thoroughly. |

Gardens are part of why we call this more than a vacation spot; it is like a home away from home -- with great service and food! We never tired of walking the beautiful flower gardens and identifying the many plants and blooming flowers. Add to the that the ocean that is only a stone's throw away, and you have a vacation spot like no other. |

Charles and Cindy will tell you that when you stay at the Joshua Grindle Inn, you will be bewitched by the beauty, impressed with the breakfast, and charmed by the wines. Stacie and I must say we also enjoyed the in-room Jacuzzi bath of the South Cypress room. Visit the Joshua Grindle Inn here. |
Charles and Cindy told us a lot of the fascinating history of the Joshua Grindle Inn, built in 1879 and loaded with plenty of parking. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay with them.
