CA4WDC Winter Fun Fest 2005

Every year at Grass Valley Fairgrounds, the California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs (CA4WDC) puts on one heck of a fun snow run called Winter Fun Fest. This year over 700 folks showed up to enjoy some great snow. I attended the Historical Tour with my club, the Motherlode Rockcrawlers Four Wheel Drive Club. Here are some highlights.

The lineup of rigs on the WFF Historical Tour. Many different level tours are available to participants, from hard to SUV.

Warner Anderson leads the Historical Tour every year. Here he gathers the crowd for an entertaining story of Lola Montez and the gold rush days.

The oldest Episcopal Church in CA, next to Lola Montez's old house, was our first stop on the Historical Tour

This is the longest covered bridge in California, used a toll crossing of the river, during the gold rush days.
