Senator Bill Morrow, Our Friend, Needs Our Support

When you have a friend in politics, it pays to let them know how much you appreciate them. When it comes time to get things done for OHV recreation, we don't have any friends to spare. We need them all! Here is one politician who believes in what we do and needs our help to keep him in office. Give now if you can. Attend the fund-raiser if you can. Every little bit helps.

Here is a personal note from Roy Denner, Jim McGarvie and Harold Soens:

November 23, 2005

Dear Off-Road Enthusiast:

As we enter the 2006 election cycle, the off-road recreation community in California has an opportunity to have a huge influence over who represents a large portion of Southern California in the House of Representatives in Washington , DC .  State Senator Bill Morrow, a friend of off-roaders, is running for the Congressional seat being vacated by Congressman Cunningham.

As a bona fide off-roader himself, Senator Morrow has been an enthusiastic supporter of off-road recreation since he was elected in 1992 to the state Legislature.  He is the California legislator who carried forward our request to conduct an audit of the California Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation program and is now spearheading the hearings to be held regarding the problems exposed by the audit.

In support of Senator Morrow’s campaign, Scott and Molly Lauffer of VW Paradise have agreed to hold an open house at their facility in San Marcos - where you can meet Senator Morrow and talk to him about issues that concern you.  The event will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12th.  Refreshments will be served.  VW Paradise is located at 1510 Grand Ave. , San Marcos , CA   92079 .  Phone: (760) 744-9081.

If you can’t attend please send a contribution to Senator Morrow’s campaign with the enclosed contribution form.  (Personal checks only – company checks are not allowed for federal campaigns).  Unfortunately, in today’s political environment, it takes significant funds to get elected and unless our supporters get elected they can’t help us.  As a member of Congress in Washington , DC Bill Morrow will be a super-strong supporter of vehicle access issues.  WE CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN HIS ELECTION!  PLEASE HELP!

We look forward to seeing you at the Morrow reception in December.

With best regards,

Roy Denner                              Jim McGarvie                        Harold Soens
