While the bypass was being built, this hard working crew unplugged Miller Creek where dirt and debris had caused an artificial dam.

Tons of debris and rock were moved to open up the original creek channel so water would flow were it used to before the flood.

Several Pirates of the Rubicon were on hand, with shovels in hand, and backs to the task. Everyone worked hard this day.

Rusty Folena carves a punji stake (vehicle obstruction) to help close off the swampy area from any further vehicle use.

The punji fence as being built by the crew.

Here the final fence serves also as a dam to keep water from flooding over into the section of road we want to keep open. The new bypass comes around back into the trail right at this new fence.
