"Capturing the spirit of this country and its people."
The Sweetwater Mountain Range is under attack by exclusionary elitists who want to make it Wilderness.  It is also NOT in the current inventory of the USFS as a road, so it could go away for this reason alone. WE MUST STOP THIS and Save Our Sweetwaters. Visit this site to help. http://www.savethesweetwaters.org

TOPIC: Sweetwaters Trip, July 2003, p. 2

Silverado Canyon.

Joined by Preston Birdwell, The Gilded Moon,
and Reno DiTullio, Achilles Photography

Preston works over the situation and adjusts for a new shot of Silverado Canyon. He's standing near "PB" point with one of our favorite tree subjects.
We call this the duck pond.  It's just above Belfort, and it's NEVER this calm.
Reno comtemplates Silverado Canyon from a chair on "PB" point. Reno climbs down off the Silverado pass area to get near this snowfield for a better image of the canyon.
A view of the Sawtooth ridge (far background), from the Sweetwater/Mt. Patterson road. White bush lupine in the foreground. Looking thru the snow cave not far from camp. View of mountains east of Sweetwater Valley.
